Buscher began the season with Minnesota and in 52 games he was hitting .227 with two home runs and 11 RBI before being optioned to Rochester on August 1. Over 23 games with the Red Wings, he batted .179 with a homer and two RBI. Buscher is a career .265 hitter with eight homers and 68 RBI in 156 games with the Twins.
